Formal Apology

The Management of "MC, M.D." would like to issue a formal apology on behalf of it's staff regarding our previous post. Though our writers often use sarcasm as a tool to keep their thoughts entertaining, it has been brought to our attention that the use of sarcasm in the last post, "The Phoenix" was excessive.

Inpatient Internal Medicine is an excellent specialty that takes care of those individuals sick enough to be placed in a hospital and offers a wide range of very effective treatments. The knowledge possesed by Internal Medicine physicians forms the foundation of care for the adult patient. It is true that, as the health care system is currently structured in the US, time constraints limit the time that physicians have to spend with each patient. It is also clear that the complex nature of the care delivered to hospitalized patients allows multiple opportunities for miscommunication and oversight, at times expending financial resources where they are not needed.

The frustration apparent in our staff member's was not meant, in any way, to demean or underemphasise the importantance of this medical specialty. We, at "MC, M.D." happen to like Internal Medicine physicians.
Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

~The Management

PS. We mean what we said about the Surgeons! ;-)
