Back from the Midwest
I'm back from Kansas City, MO after a three day trip to the American Academy of Family Physician's National Medical Student and Resident conference. It was a good chance to meet with residency programs from across the country and start networking with people before the interview season starts this winter. While I was there, I, OF COURSE, ate barbecue. For those who don't know, and shame on those of you who don't, Kansas City is one of the four bastions of barbecue in the United States along with Memphis, TN, Texas, and North Carolina. The highlight of the trip was my dinner at Arthur Bryant's, arguably the most famous BBQ joint in the world! It was sooooooo good, but by the time I had eaten BBQ for dinner, doughnuts for breakfast, BBQ for lunch, and BBQ for dinner, I was done! It's now back to radiology for a couple of weeks before I head to Augusta, ME for Aug 28th-Sept 22nd.

So, Lee says to me. Mark's going to be in Maine again for a while, and, I say, what?! how do you know that? and she says, its on his blog, and I say, he writes in that now?
see, I thought you didn't actually update this anyomre and gave up a while ago at checking it, my apologies. As I have just read "marks life in a nutshell" I will check more frequently now.
Sidenote, I also infrequently see people, so when you get your schedule for Augusta, if you have a day off where your not frantically driving back to lebanon for a couple days, I could drive up and catch up. I don't even have a schedule for that month yet....
PS. Right on, never eat BAD barbecue, and never pass up GOOD barbecue.
have the le-millers taken you to red-bones yet? next time you come down, you should hit that place for some (what i understand from carnivore types)good bbq.
glad you had fun!
