MotoGP Round 1

Casey Stoner won the first race of the 2007 season, and of his MotoGP career this weekend. Now that the engine size of all the bikes has been reduced from 1000cc to 800cc, all the manufacturers are running brand new engines, and the Ducati was dominant! Valentino Rossi (the best rider in the series, and quite possibly, of all time) caught up to Stoner through the turns on every lap, but on the very long straight of Qatar, Stoner would rocket away. If the Ducati is able to maintain this power advantage throughout the season, they'll be unstopable! Defending Champion and American, Nicky Hayden, has struggled to keep pace throughout the off-season and ended in 8th position, while his teammate rode to a very convincing 3rd. Nicky's got a lot of work to do before he'll see the podium again.
