The List is in

Well, the match list is in. For those that I haven't explained this to yet, every graduating medical school student in the country enters their "rank list" into a giant compouter. A rank list is a list of the residency programs each applicant interviewed with, arranged in order of preference, i.e., (this is my 1st choice for residency, this is my 2nd choice, etc.). Then, every residency program in the country makes a list of it's potential cantidates, (i.e. This is our favorite potential resident, this is our 2nd favorite, etc.) and all of those lists go into the big computer as well. The big computer then chews on the data for a while, and come March 15th, every graduating medical student in the country will find out where they're headed.
